TORNADO SEASON

You know it's tornado season when the TV starts showing the movie "Twister" every night...
Yesterday was awesome! Jacob, Joe & Jonas were over at our house yesterday evening when the sirens went off, so (of course) we ran outside to see if anything cool was happening. It was right after the wall cloud passed over our house & it was eerily dark & quiet. (I can't believe I didn't think to take a photo of the wall cloud, it was pretty impressive- like, 8 miles long & 1/2 mile wide of just black...) The clouds over our house were swirling in circles rather than blowing in one direction -it was weird- it looked like about four funnels were gonna drop right on top of us... I had the camera (just in case) so I snapped some shots of the sky- you can't really see it in the photos... maybe a few swirls...

NEW DESK!!



We've been shopping online for a new desk because we really wanted one with more space for all the cool stuff we're getting. We didn't think we'd ever find one that we would like, but today we decided to go to Sam's & guess what?
Our desk was sitting right there!! So we got it. It's sweet! And it opens up our middle room a lot!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEON!

This post is a little out of order, but whatever. Friday night we went to The Brady Theater to the annual Leon Russell birthday bash. AWESOME!!! Leon rocked the house like he always does... He played most of my favorites, including "Delta Lady", "Out In The Woods" & his version of Dylan's "A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall" - which I love - as well as a killer medley of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" & "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" with a little "Paint It, Black" thrown in at the end... I got just a few shots before the camera died, here you go:

HAIRCUTS ALL AROUND

I just wanted to say that Erin looks awesome in her new hair cut!! She looks foxy. Check her out.





I'd also like to give a shout out to Synthia for taking me to a new awesome salon, ARCS. She goes there and they have a special refer a friend deal where you take a friend and you both get one service half off. Not only was it so much fun to go with her to get my hair cut .... it was the best hair cut I have ever had. Anyone that has ever known me long at all knows how usually it is a slightly painful experience to get a haircut for me and my crazy hair. Not that I haven't had plently of good hairdressers, but it has never been quite right for my hair.

Maybe I will put up photos of my new hair too ... but it is not really as exciting looking as Erin's hair.

So another shout out to Cash ... who gave me the best haircut! I have never been anywhere that they cared so much about my hair and how I felt about it.
