3 POSTS IN 1
I put off blogging for a few days & 3 topics piled up on me, so here they go (with lotsa pictures).
Last week, Angelene went to the pet store & got Scooter a little squeaky cow that is about his size. He loves it mostly because it doesn't take much weight or effort to make him squeak. His cow's name is MOOSE. He's a real bully to Moose. But I think deep down, it's because he really loves him. They have kind of a big/little brother relationship.
Below are a couple pictures of Scooter & Moose sleeping & one of Scooter picking on Moose.

Then last weekend, Angelene & I went downtown because we wanted to see Admiral Twin & noticed that a large part of the streets between 3rd & 1st street were blocked off. So we parked & went to investigate. There was a bicycle race going on & they had sectioned off a figure 8 stretch of downtown & (a lot) of bikes were whizzing around Tour De France style. Every time they went by, there would be this big gust of wind for about 10 seconds because they were going so fast. I took some pictures one time they all raced by. (The group was way bigger than it seems because the camera doesn't snap the photos quickly, so imagine about 3 photos worth of bikers in between each of the 5 pictures I got off - flying by at like, 60 miles per hour). I did get a shot of the leader in the 1st one, & the guy in the back in the last one.

Finally, on Tuesday morning, we were startled awake by probably the loudest crashing of thunder I've ever heard. The storm was quite amazing. Not much rain, but lightning & thunder in maybe 1 or 2 second increments for almost an hour. Later that day, Jacob suggested that it was the birth of the antichrist, being that it happened at 6am on 06/06/06. He was joking.
So the power was knocked out & there was quite extensive debris everywhere for almost 2 square miles. The city didn't get all the power back online for over 2 days for some people, but (after stopping on the way home for dry ice for the items in the fridge we wanted to save) I arrived home and as I was unloading the ice from the car, guess what? The power came on.
Angelene said it must have been my electric personality. I attached a picture of our neighbor's front porch, because they were completely treed in. Also I drove through the fairgrounds on the way home, because the news said that the ferris wheel was mangled. I got a few shots of that too... Mommo said that ferris wheel was built in the 20's & was the 6th ferris wheel in existence.

Ok, that's all for now... here pretty soon, I'm gonna do a post about when we went to Norman to first get Scooter, because I was looking in our photo library at those pictures & realized we never did that. So, coming soon...

Poor Moose... He never has a chance. That big dog inside Scooter gets him every time. :-)
