HOODWINKED!!
I just wanted to say how happy I was for my friend Cory Edwards who's movie "Hoodwinked" was released this month with a bang. Cory & his brother Todd are Tulsans who have a production company called "Blue Yonder Films" - they did an independent movie in Tulsa about 10 years ago called "Chillicothie" that you may or may not have heard of. "Hoodwinked" has been a labor of love for these guys for a long time, an original concept that snowballed until by the time it was finished, it was picked up for distribution by the Weinstein Company. After it released, it was number two movie in the country the first two weekends. (This weekend will be the third it's been out). I worked with Cory on a show that we did for ESPN, & he was always talking about the movie & working on it on his laptop in between shooting- I saw stills & clips for it two years ago. They got an incredible cast for the voices: Glenn Close, Jim Belushi, Ann Hathaway, Xzibit, Andy Dick, Patrick Warburten ("Putty" from Seinfeld!!) and many others! Also has music performances by Ben Folds & the Gotee Brothers. It is a great movie, go see it. It's smart with humor kids and adults both would love - like "Shrek". (But better). It's based on the story of "Little Red Riding Hood", but told in a "The Usual Suspects" fashion. Ok that's all.
